SPUD MENTHOL

Spud was the world's first menthol cigarette. Spud Hughes, the inventor, was given $90,000 for the rights by Woody Axton of the Axton-Fisher Tobacco Co. in 1926. Two years later Spud was broke, but his invention lives on. If you would like to order one of these ORIGINAL ads, return to the Ad Index Page.
